Somehow it feels different this time; and I think church is what's caused the difference. Having the spiritual support now really helps me see the finish line. Knowing that God made me in his image then I screwed it up is a great motivator! I'm so happy right now, even though I've got new blisters I'm just enjoying life and everything in it.
One of the best things that happened was that I talked wife into letting me get another tattoo, I just have to lose 100 pounds first. So there it is, something tangible besides "I want to lose weight", I have a specific goal in front of me (buying clothes at stores other than Big & Tall is a two or three project). I'm thinking I can lose 100 pounds by August 13, I'm giving myself 90 days to lose it so I've got to get on it!!!
Better start thinking of what I want now, the Batman logo or my custom iWFM logo?
BTW - To keep me honest, I'll post weekly weigh-ins, today: 670.2
Duh... Batman = cool. iWFM = not nearly as cool as Batman.
ReplyDeleteSo you should get the iWFM logo at 100 lbs and Batman at 200 lbs.
Keep going dude, I am really enjoying being on the journey with you again.
Batman is cool. Best Snickers commercial ever: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPRscxQZs8E
DeleteAnd for 300 you should get a cross of some sorts, realy endorned. I don't know why, I envision you with one on your back. You can do this Thomas, you just need to keep your mind and heart set on it, and set attainable milestones. I'm here to support however I can from this end of the country. I'm very proud of you!
ReplyDeleteNo cross, thank you. Maybe you should envisioning my naked back.
DeleteOf course it goes without saying but I will say it again. I always been the one man who knows you will do it. I like this new man as he is truly a man after my own. I see in my mind's eye the new slim Thomas Morgan walking in to visit us in Abilene and no one recognizes him because he is so physically different but still the same. I will continue to root for you and pray for you!
DeleteThank you Richard, I appreciate it!
DeleteCongrats on nine days smoke free, dude! Sounds like you are really gathering your resources for the battle ahead, and to me that is very smart. Knowing your support system and where you draw strength from are so important to us as we attempt to make these huge (no pun intended!) changes and strive to sustain them. I'll admit to chuckling a little when reading this post because just yesterday I was saying to myself, "Maybe I will get that second tat I want once I hit 100lbs gone." I suppose this is just another example of great minds thinking alike! haha. Keep your head up man and keep your eyes on the prize, you got this, I can feel it!
ReplyDeleteYou're right Mike, and it's a pleasure to get to know you on your journey too! WE CAN DO IT!
